iU has been widely accepted across the southern province of Yunnan, China. Most recently, in the winter of 2012, iU completed their 4th Winter Tour across Yunnan.

In the winter of 2012, iU's focus was fostering and growing relationships in cities along the southern Chinese border through a performance that awakens and inspires. The band performed for diverse audiences in 7 cities – from middle and high school students, local music venues, and university campuses to remote communities – with ten performances spread across this region.

Through long-established relationships with school leaders and local officials, the band has been able to open partnerships across Yunnan in an effort to build and encourage relationships among new & old friends of Inter-United Foundation.

By returning as promised in 2012 with a new performance - over 80% of which was given in Mandarin - the band worked to was able to create relationships in 3 new cities.

Historically, each time iU has returned to the Yunnan Province, they have been given enthusiastic invitations to return and new venues full of eager fans; thus, the bands reach has been expanded with every tour.

iU is currently making plans for their 5th tour to China. iU's expectation & focus - as always - is to bring hope and encouragement to the students encountered in each city and to create true, lasting friendships.
